Mayslake Ministries to partner with Triton College on White House Interfaith Project.  

The goal of this project is to gain a greater understanding of the needs and challenges that our veterans experience when they return home from war.

     Mayslake Ministries is committed to working with the academic community of Triton College to provide faith based programs and retreats for our military men and women.  

Triton College president, Dr. Patricia Granados said, “ it is important to help veterans return to their families and communities with the support they need to transition back to civilian life.”

This beautiful resort is the perfect setting for a Sabbath experience. Come away with us. We will spend time with Jesus on the beach, and reflect on the treasures of beach living. Don’t miss your chance to escape to the sandy shore of Lake Michigan. Join us for 2 days of relaxation and reflection.

Facilitated by: Colleen Lowery has experience in school and parish ministry having served for over 20 years in the Joliet diocese. Colleen is involved in faith formation for all ages. She helps others grow their faithand deepen their spirituality through presentations, workshops, and retreats. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration, and Certificates in both Catechesis and the Catchumenate.

When: July 14-15, 2012; 9am Saturday - 11am Sunday

Where: Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center, Zion, IL

Cost: $100 per person, Saturday and Sunday. $80 for Saturday only.

Price does not includes accommodations. Hotel and dinner on your own, discounted rates are available for Mayslake Ministries retreat goers.

Two Day Trip WI River

Our overnight experience starts on Saturday, June 16th at 7:00am at Mayslake Ministries in Lombard!
We will carpool to the Wisconsin Riverside Resort in Spring Green, WI where we will rent canoes and paddle to our campsite, stopping along  the way for prayer, discussion and quiet reflection. We will camp by the river overnight for “spirituality  under the stars” with our campfire lighting the night skies.

We will return to Illinois the next day around dinnertime.

Lois is skilled in Wilderness Spirituality, having led groups of all ages in discovering the presence of God in the beauty of creation. Graduating with a Master of Arts in Spirituality from Loyola in May 2010, Lois has served in ministry for years as an individual and group spiritual director.

Join us for a spiritual experience you will never forget!
On July 28th we will meet at Mayslake Ministries at
7:00am to drive to Wedron, IL. returning at around 5:00pm
After a brief canoe demonstration and Opening Prayer
we will paddle down the Fox River, stopping for lunch, prayer, and discussion along the way.

Coolers are provided.
When registering, please provide your canoe
level of experience, all levels are welcome!
