Mayslake Ministries to partner with Triton College on White House Interfaith Project.  

The goal of this project is to gain a greater understanding of the needs and challenges that our veterans experience when they return home from war.

     Mayslake Ministries is committed to working with the academic community of Triton College to provide faith based programs and retreats for our military men and women.  

Triton College president, Dr. Patricia Granados said, “ it is important to help veterans return to their families and communities with the support they need to transition back to civilian life.”

Marriage workshop: "arriving at consensus without compromising"

Couples are invited to experience a marriage workshop that explores marriage from a Catholic perspective based on sacramental theology and a bestselling marriage enrichment book entitled "Fighting for your Marriage."

We will learn ways to negotiate, problem solve, and discuss topics including household budget, spending, changing roles, balancing time, sex and increasing romance and intimacy in our relationships. Discover new insights that can make your marriage more fulfilling and satisfying.

Facilitator: Dr. Barb Jarvis-Pauls

When: Saturday, March 3; 9am - 12:30pm

About your Facilitator: Dr. Barbara Jarvis-Pauls ... a Pastoral Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, received her Master in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University and her Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from Graduate Theological Foundation. Barbara provides individual, marital, and family counseling. She is experienced in working with families in transition or crisis who are coping with issues of death, divorce, single parenting, remarriage or blended families and annulment advocacy. Dr. Jarvis-Pauls is a member of the National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministers, Illinois Counseling Association, Illinois Mental Health Association, and the National Board of Certified Counselors. She completed the Internal Family Systems Therapy Certification Program. Dr. Jarvis-Pauls is married, a mother, and a grandmother.
