A PARISH MISSION is a special moment of grace in the life of a parish. It might be a time to celebrate a parish milestone or anniversary. It might be a yearly event to prepare for the feasts of Christmas or Easter. Or it might be a special event to start off another academic year or a parish renewal program.
Parish Missions generally begin with the homily at all the weekend Masses. The preacher shares the theme of the Mission with the assembly and invites them to attend the entire mission, or as often as each individual can commit to. The Mission continues over 3 consecutive nights. Depending upon the type of liturgical service chosen for a specific night, each segment of the Parish Mission can last between 60 to 90 minutes.
We are pleased to have 4 dynamic parish mission directors: Dr. Mary Amore, Fr. Phil Horrigan, Fr. Pat Brennan, and Christine Grano. Each is versed in a variety of spiritual topics. Your mission can be tailored to suit the needs of your faith community. Reservations are currently being taken for 2012 and 2013. |
