Mayslake Ministries to partner with Triton College on White House Interfaith Project.  

The goal of this project is to gain a greater understanding of the needs and challenges that our veterans experience when they return home from war.

     Mayslake Ministries is committed to working with the academic community of Triton College to provide faith based programs and retreats for our military men and women.  

Triton College president, Dr. Patricia Granados said, “ it is important to help veterans return to their families and communities with the support they need to transition back to civilian life.”

PREPARING FOR LENT: THE IMAGE OF CHRIST IN THE MOVIES

Join us as we explore the image of Christ as portrayed in popular movies over the decades, and how each portrayal opens up new ways to connect with God and the Gospel. This seminar is a way to "retreat into the desert" with Jesus in modern and creative ways, and to see how the Lord speaks to each one of us through these timeless favorites of the silver screen. Adults of all ages are welcome.

Facilitator: Paul Jarzembowski works for the Diocese of Joliet as the Diocesan Director of Young Adult Ministry and serves as the Executive Director of the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Associati on. An author, blogger, film critic, educator, and motivational speaker across the country, Paul has also advised the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and has been an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University Chicago.
