Shrine of christ's passion, st. john, indiana |

Experience the Passion of Christ like never before. The Shrine of Christ’s Passion is an interactive winding pathway that begins with the Last Supper and Garden of Gethsemane and progresses through the Passion of Christ as depicted in the Stations of the Cross. 40 life size bronze statues, add to the experience. After exiting the tomb, participants are led down a path where they will find Jesus meeting Mary Magdalene and experience His glorious Ascension to heaven. Choose a guided tour or walk the grounds at your own pace. Also on the grounds are a Marian Wayside Shrine, the Sanctity of Life Shrine and the Our Lady of the New Millennium statue. The walk is approximately ½ mile. Golf carts with guides are available to those who have difficulty walking. If you will need assistance let us know at the time of registration. We will also visit St. John the Evangelist Church and go to Tiebel’s Restaurant for lunch.
Facilitator: Suzette Horyza has traveled down many paths including tour guide, artist, writer, program presenter, and event planner. All of these unique experiences have culminated in presenting retreats and tours for men and women of all ages. She is the coordinator for the “On Holiday With God” trips offered by Mayslake Ministries.

God’s abundant creation is on display at the Chicago Botanic Garden, a true oasis nestle in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Join us for a day-long visit with plenty of time to explore and spend time with God. We will take a narrated tram tour for an overview of all areas of the garden and have plenty of time on our own to explore the Japanese Gardens, English walled garden, Fruit & Vegetable Garden and Lakeside Gardens, to name just a few. Lunch can be purchased on your own at the Garden Café. If you choose to bring your own, you are welcome to enjoy it at the picnic area just outside the park entrance.
